Important to read

You can try many massage therapists before you will find one who fits all your needs. Look for a professional who before beginning a session, the first time asks you many questions about your health, previous surgeries and medications you are on, takes all necessary paperwork, and notices your body specific signs. Postural assessment is important part, especially if you are in some pain.

Massage therapists are educated, licensed professional who are required to have formal training, and pass a national board exam, pay for a license to practice their profession, and pay to take continuing education classes every year - you cannot just hang up a sign without credentials and announce that you are a massage therapist!

Massage is beneficial and the more techniques a massage therapist is knowledgeable about and centered in, the more beneficial your massage could be, but massage can be also contraindicated for some conditions. Massage is also very relaxing and pleasurable, which works with both body & spirit. It helps release STRESS, muscle tension, cramps, spasms, balance the entire body, mind and energy. Regular massage helps to reduce headaches, muscle aches, neurotic pain, and the reach the right level of a recipient's emotional balance as in meditation.
